While California Olive Oils have come into their own with many fine examples produced throughout the state, this has not been quite so true for California cured olives. In fact, many olives that are packed in California are actually imported as cured olives. This is not really surprising when one considers the experience and dedication it takes to produce a truly delicious olive with consistency from year to year. We have found one Californian that has created a tradition of producing just such a line of olives. I'm sure you will find as much delight in them as we do.

Penna
Gourmet Olives

Penna Olives are unique for several reasons. Not only are they grown, processed and packed right at the Penna's M&CP Farms in Northern California, but they incorporate old processes improved upon and made safe by modern microbiology. Customers can count on Penna Olives' consistency and quality since M&CP Farms is the only handler from the tree to the jar.

Maurice Penna, the co-founder of M&CP Farms and Penna Olives, is passionate about his products. The original farm was purchased by his father in 1951. Maurice started the Penna label in order to "provide people with a fine, gourmet olive that does not cost an arm and a leg." I'm confident you will find the quality of his olives to be outstanding and a great value.

Penna Sicilian Style Spiced olives are cured in a light salt brine for 12 to 18 months to achieve their mellow flavor. They are pitted for convenience and seasoned with traditional Sicilian spices.
